Psychotherapy or Talk therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist that leads to change. Therapy helps client overcome stressors and improve the quality of their life. It can help with mental health problems, emotional challenges, and some psychiatric disorders.
As deemed appropriate, a therapist chooses a particular modality or blends different approaches to help client better understand their feelings, and what makes them feel positive, anxious, or depressed. The client does not have to meet a mental health diagnosis to seek therapy.
